TURNERS FALLS, Mass. (WWLP) - Four families have been forced from their homes in Turners Falls following a fire Wednesday morning.

Montague Police Sgt. Chris Lapointe told 22News that the Red Cross is assisting the four families living at 59 L Street, a six-unit building.

According to Dawn Leaks of the American Red Cross, a total of 10 adults and seven children were affected by the fire.

Everyone got out of the building safely. There is no official word on the cause of the fire at this time, but Lapointe says that it is not considered suspicious.
