WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Westfield fire officials have released the name of a 92 year-old man who died after being rescued from his burning home early Monday morning.
Fire Chief Mary Regan told 22News that Raymond Megaro died from his injuries in the fire.
Megaro was pulled from his Noble Avenue home, where he was trapped on the second floor. He was taken to the hospital, where he died later that morning.
Regan said that investigators have concluded that the fire was caused by a malfunction of the blower for the home's furnace.
