Elderly woman killed in Barre house fire

BARRE, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say an elderly woman has died in a four-alarm house fire in Barre.

A spokeswoman for the state Fire Marshal's office confirmed the fatality in the fire reported late Thursday morning. The woman's name has not been released at this time.

The State Fire Marshal's office is sending-in an investigator to determine the cause of the deadly fire.

Barre is located in western Worcester County.
