SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Just two weeks before Christmas a fire Saturday morning took everything from a Springfield family of nine.

The Pioneer Valley Red Cross Disaster Relief Team found a temporary place for the family to stay.

They used to live at 184-186 Northampton Avenue in the Mason Square neighborhood.

Not much remains of the house where two generations of the same family lived.

The disaster relief volunteers will help the family get back on its feet with money to buy food and clothing.
