SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - We now know what started the fire that left ten people homeless in Springfield's Forest Park neighborhood Monday afternoon.
Aide to the Springfield Fire Commissioner Dennis Leger told 22News, that a burner on an electric stove was left on inside the home at 341 Oakland Street.
Leger says the fire quickly spread up the walls to the second floor in attic.
