SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Firefighters in Springfield were able to quickly put out a fire on the porch of a home in the city's Six Corners neighborhood Friday afternoon.

The fire destroyed the second-floor porch of the home on Foster Street, just before 2:30 P.M.

The damage did not appear to have spread extensively into the house.

The cause of the fire is not immediately known.
