HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - An unarmed robbery in South Holyoke turned into a brief car chase, and ultimately two arrests, police say.

Details are still emerging at this time, but Holyoke Police Lt. Matthew Moriarty told 22News that there was an unarmed robbery near 636 Main Street early Friday afternoon. Moriarty says that the two suspects were involved in a brief car chase with officers, but police called off the pursuit.

Moriarty says that the suspects were stopped by police in nearby Easthampton, and Holyoke police placed them under arrest.

The matter remains under investigation, and the suspects’ names have yet to be released. Stay with 22News and WWLP.com for the latest.
