Dreaming of a jackpot

(NBCNC) - Powerball fever has grown to a frenzy across the country.

Already more than a billion dollars in tickets have been sold and that number is growing this evening.

The jackpot now stands at more than $550-million.

The official odds are 175-million-to-one, but for $2 a ticket many say they have to take a chance.

Ticket sales end at 10 o'clock tonight.
