Flowers or gadgets?

FORT MYERS, Fla. (WBBH) - The study says women prefer lightweight devices that fit smaller hands, and that color is the least important feature to women.

But not all women agree.

"Romance is flowers, and it's Valentine's Day," says Mary Devlin of Fort Myers Floral Designs. "It's a love-fest."

"I think jewelry would be better. That's a Valentine's Day present," says Ashlee Jones.

"Don't get me a cell phone or an iron or anything like that!" exclaims Anita Knight.

Her husband already gave her an hour-long facial and an hour-long massage for the occasion.

Knight says thoughtfulness made the present perfect.

"That touched me," she says. "He was aware of the fact that I'm stressed and I needed some pampering. I think that's what Valentine's is all about."

"Most want jewelry," says Sue Ellen Quinn of Dunkin's Diamonds. "We can get an iPad anytime. Women want a big rock on their finger."

Quinn says rose gold is the big trend this year, but electronics are too impersonal.
