The 2nd annual Clean Energy Connections was held on Tuesday at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield.
Exhibitors reflected many type of green organization, businesses, and technologies. Visitors included local students, business owners, and those interested in green jobs.
Event organizer Loren Walker of the University of Massachusetts Amherst told 22News why a green push is important, “I have two young daughters, and when I think of their future in this county, in this region, I think that growing the green economy is our best bet.”
“It’s essential for all the individuals and organizations working on training, on job creation, on product development, and service development to be talking with one another,” Walker continued.
The event encouraged networking between businesses and visitors.
Walker estimated approximately 600 people would attend the Clean Energy Connections. He intends on holding it again next year.
