SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The 22News I-Team has obtained the dramatic 911 tapes from calls that were made just seconds after Timothy Forbes allegedly bit off part of a coach's ear after a youth basketball game at the Holy Name Social Center located at 37 Alderman Street in Springfield.
One of the four tapes is the emotional call from a woman who claims to be the victim's wife.
"The other coach bit my husband's ear... We won the championship game and the coach from the opposite team started punching my husband and bit his ear off... I don't know where he is now, it think he ran out," she said.
Thirty-four year old Timothy Forbes of Springfield is facing charges for reportedly attacking the Migs coach and biting off part of his ear last Friday night.
The fight happened after a Catholic Youth Organization boys championship basketball game between the Springfield Migs and the Springfield Heat.
Springfield Police Sergeant John Delaney told 22News Forbes attacked the winning team's coach, and bit off part of his ear.
Sergeant Delaney says Forbes is an assistant coach for the losing team, but CYO President, John Maloney, told 22News Forbes is not a coach and isn't on their roster.
