EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Twenty-six people are losing their jobs in Easthampton.
Eva Schmitz, the spokeswoman of Berry Plastics Corporation told the 22News I-Team its reducing its workforce by 26 people.
She says its because of "soft consumer demand" and the recent streamlining of manufacturing processes.
Berry Plastics' Easthampton facility employs approximately 350 people.
Schmitz says the Company will help those interested in securing employment at other Berry Plastics plants or within the local labor market.
