NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - On Wednesday night the Northampton License Commission voted to revoke the license held by the owner of the Northampton Motor Classics car dealership . Mary Midura from the license commission told 22News that the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles asked the commission to revoke Andrew Feuerstein's dealer license.
Midura said that Feuerstein didn't show up at the license commission meeting, despite her office's repeated attempts to contact him. She told 22News that on Thursday the license commission sent Feuerstein a letter letting him know that his license has been revoked.
The used car dealership closed abruptly last month, leaving many customers without the titles to their vehicles.
According to Hampshire Superior Court records obtained by the 22News I-Team, the owners of the shop were deep in debt, having defaulted on loans and owing hundreds of thousands of dollars to different companies.
This case is now being investigated by the Massachusetts Attorney General's office.
