EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - The Town of East Longmeadow is at the center of an investigation involving allegations of voting fraud.

Secretary of State William Galvin's Spokesman Brian McNiff told that 22News the state become suspicious when there were an unusual number of shifts in party registration in the town.

Some residents reported receiving a letter claiming they had requested an absentee ballot to vote in the Republican primary, even though they are registered Democrats.

McNiff would not say how many residents have received letters, or if anyone is suspected of wrongdoing.
