NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - In a follow-up of a story that the 22News I-Team brought you back in July, a now-defunct car dealership in Northampton is being sued for allegedly breaking consumer protection laws.
Attorney General Martha Coakley alleges that owner Andrew Feuerstein and manager Michael Dale of Northampton Motor Classics violated the state's consumer protection laws by selling vehicles without delivering titles, failing to pay loans for trade-in vehicles, and instructing consumers to use dealer plates illegally while they waited for their car to be registered.
The Attorney General is seeking restitution for 16 customers, along with civil penalites.
The 22News I-Team first reported the closure of the dealership back in July.
