SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield Armor is helping teach kids about healthy living.
The D-league team hosted the 'NBA fit initiative' on Thursday at the Springfield Boys and Girls Club.
Dee Brown is the head coach of the Springfield Armor.
He told 22News that these kind of events help teach children about the importance of exercise and eating right.
"If you can promote that and get it instilled in kids at a young age, understand what a healthy lifestyle is it helps them be healthier and live longer," said Dee Brown.
"This is something thats fun and you can move around and you will be healthy," said Natalie Hanechak of Indian Orchard.
