SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield area animal lovers lined up at the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society Saturday to protect their pets.
Many of their dogs and cats were vaccinated against rabies... But, some of the pets also got a micro-chip inserted so they will be easily found if they ever wander away from their home.
But many of these animal lovers told 22News, the wanted a micro-chip inserted to make it that much easier to be reunited with their pets in the event they ever get lost.
“We got the micro-chip done and it's just for peace of mind. If he happened to get out and someone were to find him, definitely does make me feel better in case he does get lost.”
The Micro-Chip has reportedly helped reunite 100 percent of dog and cat owners with their lost pets.
