SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield celebrated its 375th birthday Saturday and they did it with a bang!

Those are the sights and sounds of the fireworks that lit up the Springfield sky this evening over Blunt Park.

Many people gathered in the park to see the fireworks, which wrapped up an entire day of festivities in Springfield. People told 22News they really enjoyed events.

“We just all decided to get together and do a little cook out and the 375th birthday of Springfield and help celebrate Springfield. “

The crowds were also entertained by the Sci-Tech Band. They played everything from the Black Eyed Peas to Gloria Estefan!
