SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Neighbors who've grown to love Springfield's Forest Park branch library had good reason to celebrate Saturday.
The new handicapped accessible entrance was one of many improvements unveiled during the formal re-opening of the 100 year old Library branch across from the Forest park middle school.
Neighbors told 22News, the information hub means a great deal to them.
George Vigneault says, “My children were raised not to far from here, four boys and they went here all the time and I have been going here for years and years.”
The Forest park library opened its doors in 1909, and has
obviously played an important role in many lives since then.
