PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A member of the Berkshire County chapter of the Hells Angels motorcycle club has been ordered held on $50,000 bail for allegedly trying to frame a witness in his criminal case.

Adam Lee Hall, whom prosecutors say is the chapter's sergeant at arms, pleaded not guilty Monday in Berkshire Superior Court to charges including witness intimidation and kidnapping.

Authorities tell The Berkshire Eagle that 33-year-old Hall was the mastermind behind a plot to frame David Glasser of Pittsfield in which one of Hall's female associates accused Glasser of robbing her at gunpoint. Charges against Glasser have been dismissed.

Authorities say Glasser is a key government witness in Hall's upcoming trial on charges including assault and drug offenses.

Hall's attorney had no comment.
