PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Driving is slow across Massachusetts, from Berkshire County to Cape Cod and the Islands, there is a travel ban until further notice.

In Berkshire County light snow accumulated by the early evening hours, but things really weren't too bad yet.

While only a dusting was on the ground in Pittsfield at 4:00, getting out there was a different story. It was very slow moving and traffic even came to a standstill for about a half hour.

A tractor trailer jackknifed near Russell. Luckily, no one was injured in the accident.

We were stuck in traffic with a lot of other people who were trying to beat the storm.

“You want to be there, can't wait to be there, but you're here, so not much you can do about that, just wait it out,” said Philip Lowe from Maine.

Back in Pittsfield the roads really aren't too bad. There are a lot of people moving around here in downtown trying to get their errands done before the snow starts really picking up.
