GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Electric car owners in Franklin County have a new place to charge their vehicles.

The state department of Energy Resources has awarded the town of Greenfield two electric vehicle charges stations.

One unit is at the end of Miles Street in the public parking lot next to the Energy Park.  The other can be found on the southwest corner of the Chapman Davis lot behind Wilson's.

Current available electric vehicle models have a range of up to 100 miles before they need to recharge.
