Man struck by train in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A man was critically injured after he was struck by a train in Pittsfield.

Pittsfield Deputy Chief Keith Phillips told 22News the man was hit off of Silver Lake Boulevard around 1 Saturday morning by a train that was arriving from New York.

He was taken from one of the cars and taken to the hospital.

The man had multiple skull fractures and lost several limbs, but was conscious when medics arrived.
