BROOKLINE, Mass. (WWLP) - A homeless man and a woman wanted for the robbery of a Pittsfield credit union were arrested by police in the Boston area after an attempted robbery there on Wednesday.
According to a news release sent to 22News by Pittsfield Police, Brenda Santos, 22, of Boston, is accused of robbing the Greylock Federal Credit Union on Friday, March 30.
During their investigation, Pittsfield police had developed information leading them to believe that Santos was the unarmed woman who robbed the credit union.
Santos and her alleged accomplice in the Pittsfield robbery, Brandon Wood, 31, of Boston, were arrested Wednesday by police in Brookline after an attempted robbery there.
They were arraigned in Brookline District Court for that robbery attempt.
In the case of the Pittsfield robbery, Wood is charged with accessory before the fact and accessory after the fact. Santos is charged with unarmed robbery.
Brookline police and the FBI violent crimes task force are cooperating with Pittsfield police in their investigation.
