COLUMBIA, S.C. (WWLP) - A man wanted for a murder in Pittsfield is being held in South Carolina as a fugitive from justice.
According to a news release sent to 22News by the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, Kurt Hudson, 24, was arrested Tuesday by police in Columbia, South Carolina.
Hudson is being charged with the murder of 23 year-old Nikolas Carnute , who was found in the middle of Wellington Avenue on Sunday night. He died shortly after being taken to Berkshire Medical Center. Autopsy results revealed that he died of a single gunshot wound.
Hudson is charged with a single count of murder.
Hudson's last known address was 41 West Union Street in Pittsfield.
