PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) - The third of three men accused of a triple slaying in Berkshire County has pleaded not guilty to charges following his re-indictment.
Springfield native David Chalue pleaded not guilty Thursday to the charges he originally was indicted on in October: murder, kidnapping and witness intimidation.
The Berkshire Eagle reports that co-defendants Adam Lee Hall and Caius Veiovis pleaded not guilty last week.
A spokesman for the Berkshire district attorney's office says because the investigation is ongoing, the case was presented for a second time to a grand jury, leading to superseding indictments.
The defendants are accused of killing David Glasser, Robert Chadwell and Edward Frampton, allegedly because Hall, a ranking member of the local Hells Angels chapter, wanted Glasser dead so he could not testify at an assault trial.
