SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The man accused of allegedly calling in a bomb threat to Bradley International Airport on Friday is being held without the right to bail.
Ronderic Finch has been charged with an act of terrorism, harassment, and breach of peace, stemming from Friday’s incident. He pleaded not guilty to those charges in Springfield District Court on Monday.
He is being held without the right the bail, pending the results
of a psychiatric evaluation. He is due back in court on Thursday.
A called-in bomb threat prompted State Police to swarm the
airport with bomb sniffing dogs on Friday, but nothing was found.
Evidence and cell phone records led authorities to Finch’s
house on Nathaniel Street in Springfield.
Finch is a father of two and a former Louisiana police
officer. His lawyer, Perman Glenn III, told 22News his client has a
spotless record and has no history of mental health problems.
