SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - They're back in the family once again, as F.L. Roberts has bought back some service stations it sold nearly 20 years ago.

F.L. Roberts & Company has bought 12 Sunoco service stations and seven car washes that it had originally sold to Sunoco.

The Sunoco located at East Columbus Avenue in Springfield is one of the properties, other properties are in Chicopee, East Longmeadow, Feeding Hills, Westfield, and West Springfield.

All the sites will open under the local company's ownership on September 27th.

F.L. Roberts is a family owned company, which has done business in western Massachusetts and Connecticut since 1920.
