SUNDERLAND, Mass. (WWLP) - A party following a wedding reception turned into a horror story early Sunday morning in the Franklin County town of Sunderland.

Police are looking for a suspect after four people were stabbed at a party at 39 Old Amherst Road.

Sunderland Police Chief Jeffrey Gilbert told 22News that his officers are searching for 28-year-old Ian Woishnis, who could be armed and dangerous.

Two people were recovering Sunday morning at Baystate Medical Center and the other two victims were treated and allowed to leave.

The violence came as a shock to Nicole Tower who works nearby at a Sunderland market.

“Sunderland's always been a really quiet, nice little town and it's really weird and scary, almost that someone was stabbed here, it's that kind of town,” according to Nicole Tower.

Tower’s co-worker John Whiston told 22News, he used to feel that way, but not anymore.

“A couple of months back, the chief of police here in Sunderland was attacked by someone with a knife,” said Whiston. “I had never heard of anything like that around here.”
