One dead in head-on Sunderland crash

SUNDERLAND, Mass. (WWLP) - One person is dead and two others have serious injuries after a two car head-on collision on Route 116 in Sunderland.

Chief Jeffrey Gibert told 22News the accident happened just south of Bubs Barbeque around 6:30 Sunday night.

A portion of Route 116 was closed for a couple hours but is now reopened. Police are still investigating the accident.
