GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - An odor of natural gas forced the evacuation of a restaurant in Greenfield.

Fire Captain John Whitney told 22News that just after 10:30 Tuesday night, they got a call for a natural gas odor at the Applebees along the Mohawk Trail.

Berkshire Gas was called and deemed that the building was safe.

Captain Whitney said the gas readings they got were very minor, and there was never any danger to customers or staff members.
