GCC awarded grant for workforce training program

Programs help with retraining and find internships

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Greenfield Community College has been awarded more than $750,000 grant for a new Workforce Development Transformation program.

This is a way to help people that are unemployed get retrained and help students find internships

Greenfield Community College has four programs funded by this grant. One course that is offered is a certified nursing course is about eight to nine weeks. Some of these courses you can get a certificate or specific training for the area you are interested in.

Peter Rosnick, Dean of Greenfield Community College, told 22News, “There are many people looking for work and many need to retrain to find jobs that will sustain them and helps us to do that.”

These courses are offered all year round.
