SUNDERLAND, Mass. (WWLP) - The victim of a pellet gun shooting in the town of Sunderland almost lost an eye Sunday when a burglar broke into his apartment.

Sunderland Police officer Brenda Tozlowski told 22News, the burglar cut through a window screen at the Cliffside Apartments on Amherst Road and demanded drugs. The victim punched the intruder, who then opened fire with the pellet gun.

Officer Tozlowski said the man was bleeding from the face and the chest when they got to the apartment.
