GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Nurses from Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield have gone back to work after a 24-hour strike.

209 unionized nurses from Baystate Franklin walked off the job Friday morning, after failing to reach a deal with hospital leaders.

Nurses and management are deadlocked over sick time policy and overtime pay.

During the work stoppage, the emergency room was fully staffed but not the Intensive Care Unit.

The 29th negotiation session is scheduled for October 25th.
