Office fire in Warwick

WARWICK, Mass. (WWLP) - Volunteer firefighters in the Franklin County town of Warwick spent most of the morning battling a large fire at an office building.

Deputy Fire Chief Rolland Weld tols 22News that the fire started around 9:30 Sunday night at 51 Wheeler Road.

There are no fire hydrants in Warwick, so they had to call surrounding fire departments to bring in tankers filled with water.

Nobody was inside the building at the time of the fire, and no firefighters were injured.

There is no word at this time on the cause of the fire, which is being investigated in the state Fire Marshal's office.
