Police searching for bank robber

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Greenfield police are searching for at least one suspect after there were three armed robberies in a four week span.

The TD Bank on Main Street was robbed twice in the last few weeks and the Greenfield Cooperative Bank nearby was robbed Wednesday.

Detective Lt. Dan McCarthy told 22News it's possible the same person is responsible for all of them.

He said the community is aware of what's going on and they're doing their best to stop them.

“The public fear factor has been raised so we are putting as many resources as we can afford and have so that we can bring this subject into custody,” Lt. McCarthy said.

Detective McCarthy said a woman provided police with the suspect's license plate number.
