GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Greenfield police blocked part of Montague City Road for hours, after a tractor trailer truck became stuck underneath a railroad bridge.
The truck got wedged underneath the bridge where Cheapside Street becomes Montague City Road.
The truck became stuck around noon time, and remained there during the early afternoon hours. The truck was finally removed around 4:00 P.M.
Trucks becoming stuck under low bridges is an ongoing problem in western Massachusetts, with Holyoke and Springfield police among others saying that the issue has become more frequent in recent years with the rise in GPS technology.
