WESTMINSTER, Vt. (AP) - Police say a flock of wild turkeys caused a two-car crash on Interstate 91 over the weekend.

Police said Diane McIntyre of Windham, Conn., was traveling north in Westminster on Saturday. She slowed down to avoid the birds crossing the highway.

The driver behind, Elizabeth Libbey of Charlemont, Mass., got distracted when a turkey flew toward her vehicle at eye level. She struck the rear of McIntyre's car. Libbey's car ran off the road and McIntyre's car spun into the breakdown lane.

The Rutland Herald reports police said McIntyre and Libbey's passenger were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
