WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - According to the Public Affairs Office at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield, MA:

The 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base will support the Patriots playoff game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA with an F-15 flyover and presentation of colors.

The event will take place pre-game, on Sunday, January 13, 2013, starting at about 4:15 p.m., EST.

The F-15 fighter jets that will support this flyover are from the same Massachusetts Air National Guard unit, the 104th Fighter Wing, that provide continuous protection of the Northeast corridor of the United States through the 24/7 Aerospace Control Alert (ACA).

Assigned to the Air Force's Air Combat Command, the 104th Fighter Wing proudly claims the honor of being one of the oldest flying units within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

In addition to the F-15 flyover, members from the 104th Fighter Wing's color guard will present the nation's flag during the National Anthem.

Col. James Keefe, commander of the 104th Fighter Wing said, "We are very proud to support the Patriots playoff game with an F-15 flyover and presentation of colors. We thank the Patriots for the opportunity to share our support and demonstrate our nation's military strength to the millions of viewers. Of course, we also want to say, Go Pats!"
