2 hospitalized after crash on Rt. 141 in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on crash on Route 141 in Holyoke, which closed a stretch of the roadway on Friday afternoon.

Holyoke Police Sgt. Dave O’Connell told 22News that the crash happened around 2:45 P.M. near the Whiting Reservoir. One person in each of the two vehicles that crashed was taken to the hospital, though the seriousness of their injuries is not known at this time.

Part of Route 141 was closed as police investigated the accident and crews cleared away the cars.

The accident was cleared before 5:00 P.M. and traffic is moving in the area again.
