CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - You've heard their TV-ad's and you've heard them debate. But Friday night on 22News, you'll get to hear them in a different way.
22News will air a special program involving Senator Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren .
President Thomas Jefferson once said, "Democracy demands an educated and informed electorate."
That's why 22News will be giving you the chance to hear what your candidates for the United States Senate have to say about why you should elect them.
WWLP President and General Manager Bill Pepin had this to say, "Traditional debates often don't provide candidates the opportunity to adequately present their platforms and initiatives. We wanted to offer each candidate free airtime to speak directly to the voters and state their case."
The program will air Friday night from 10-11PM.
Both Incumbent Republican Senator Scott Brown and Democratic Challenger Elizabeth Warren will be given a full uninterrupted and unedited half hour of free air time.
It's a way that you've likely never seen the candidates before.
You can watch it on 22News or on our website at WWLP.com .
The race is virtually tied and it's been called the most expensive race in the country.
Election day is November 6th.
The candidates will meet again once more before election day in their third debate in Boston on October 30th.
