CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - The brother of the suspect wounded in a Chicopee jewelry store robbery has become the second person arrested in connection with the incident.

Detective Sergeant Jeffrey Nadeau of the Chicopee Police told 22News that Jose Reyes-Oquendo of Holyoke was arrested on Maple Street in Holyoke around 9:30 Friday morning.

According to Sgt. Nadeau, Reyes-Oquendo and his brother Reynaldo Reyes are accused of robbing the Furnari Jewelers on Memorial Drive on October 15 . Reynaldo Reyes was shot by the store’s owner, Anthony Furnari after the two allegedly attacked him.

Nadeau had no information on any possible additional suspects, but said that the case remains under investigation.
