A judge has set a tentative trial date for early next year for …

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Three people were taken to the hospital after crashing into a tree on Bay Street around 5:30 on Sunday.
Denis Leger, the aide to the Springfield fire commissioner told 22News the Jaws of Life had to be used to rescue the male driver and his two passengers who were trapped in a Buick.
The accident happened near 641 Bay Street; the group was traveling westbound when they hit the tree. All three were taken to the hospital for what Leger said looked like serious injuries.
