3rd graders collect toys for Toys for Tots

Goal was to collect 50 toys

CHESTER, Mass. (WWLP) - A classroom of third-graders in Chester wanted to share the Christmas spirit.

They decided to try and gather toys for the Toys for Tots campaign. Their goal was to bring in 50 toys. The students made posters and put them throughout the school.

The group of third graders not only made their goal, they more than doubled it. The class collected 114 toys that they are bringing to the 22News station Friday.
