HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - While lawmakers are calling for a reduction in harsh political talk, some controversial political debate is happening right on the streets of Western Massachusetts.
Workers for the Lyndon LaRouche Political Action Committee stood outside of the main Holyoke Post Office carrying signs with pictures of President Obama with a Hitler Mustache on them.
Those holding the signs were handing out information about health care policy, and asking people if they wanted to quote "Kick the Nazi out."
Those passing by had mixed reactions.
"Free speech is always a good thing, I wouldn't call it inflammatory, he's a very controversial character," Rob MacLaurin of Holyoke said.
"Unfortunately it's a bit of an over-reaction, it's a lot of an over reaction," Robert Mausel of Holyoke said.
Literature the group was passing out spoke against the end-of-life counseling portion of the health care overhaul bill passed last year.
