CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Two of the democrats running for Senator Scott Brown's Senate seat were in Chicopee Sunday.

Elizabeth Warren and Tom Conroy attended the Chicopee Democrat of the Year Breakfast.

22News caught up with both democrats and asked them what they think about these debit card bank fees some of the big banks are charging.

"If Bank of American wants to keep charging people higher and higher fees then people should vote with their feet and leave," said Conroy.

"The big problem in the banking industry right now is that they don't have to follow the same set of rules as the rest of us," stated Warren, "Washington is rigged to work for the big guys. So anyone who's got an army of lobbyists and an army of lawyers can get the laws structured in ways that work for them and don't work for us."

Both candidates told 22News it is issues like this one that make them compelled to run for the U.S. Senate next fall.
