Crash in Palmer downs telephone pole

PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) - Wires are down in Palmer Sunday morning after a car crashed into a telephone pole on State Street.

The accident happened Saturday night just before 11 p.m. in the Bondsville section of the town.

Officer Bonnayer told 22News that the driver was speeding when it struck the telephone pole.

The car rolled into a yard and the driver was thrown from the vehicle.

He was later taken to Baystate Medical Center.

The driver's name is not yet been released but police say he is from Palmer.
