SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A Springfield internet cafe gets a second chance to expand.
The city council approved a permit to allow more computer terminals at the Triple Sevens Internet Cafe on Cooley Street.
They want to expand from 5 to 30 computer terminals.
The council originally voted down the proposal.
Michael Fenton, Springfield City Council, Ward 2, said "The neighborhood council came out and outwardly said that they did not want the project and we've already voted it down. It doesn't make any sense to me, I'm speechless I can't believe we approved it."
The city solicitor and the city clerk must now approve the permit for it to move forward.
