SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Here's an interesting concept: a farmers market on wheels in Springfield.

Enterprise Farm of Whately got the idea to take their fruits and vegetables on the road Wednesday; first to the Greenleaf Community Center in Springfield's Sixteen Acres neighborhood, where shoppers were delighted to see Mobile Market.

Ray Zanarini told 22News that he loves their prices. "Fresh vegetables at a very low price, that's what it means to me,” Zanarini said. “Those of use who live on a budget, that means it's a good deal."

"I don't have to walk as far,” said Judy Dutko of Sixteen Acres. “I'll be supporting a local farmer."

The mobile market also visited the Pine Point Community Center, an elderly home, and the Springfield YMCA.

The market will make the rounds every Wednesday, all summer long.
