SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - If you were in the Eastfield Mall's food court Saturday, you might have seen a flash mob.
A group of about 45 seniors, from the Brimfield Senior Center, performed a country line dance in the middle of the food court. One by one each dancer started the dance until all of them were dancing in unison.
Heather Dickinson, the program coordinator from the Brimfield Senior Center, organized the event. She told us, they wanted to break down stereotypes.
“Everybody thinks that seniors just sit home doing nothing, they don't! Seniors are fun. They're an active part of our community. They like to get out there and do stuff just like us young people do,” said Heather Dickinson.
Some of the seniors said they had so much fun, they wished they could do this everyday.
